I can tell you that you have to do them with your right hand. I am left handed and struggled with them. My friend and I sat down and in working together discovered that you have to do them with the needle in your right hand....
I haven't done embroidery in sooo long. I used embroider all the time as a kid. Looks like you're doing just fine to me :o) Perfect way to pass away those 30 minutes.
Been spending 30 minutes on Fridays in the car with my embroidery box while Ms. Maria has her guitar lesson. Trying to figure out french knots.
