Worked all evening with Ms. Maria and a school friend getting ready for the 4H Junior Demonstrations. Go ahead ask me anything about having a bunny rabbit as a house pet... I can probably answer it.
It is difficult at best to get a 9 year old to settle in and create a tri-fold board with all kinds of rabbit information...now try to get two very silly girls to get it done...ugh it's like trying to herd cats...or maybe bunnies.

I always think of this old Super Bowl commercial when someone mentions "herding cats"

So, I have a bunny house pet story...
ReplyDelete1988. New, adorable, fuzzy, litter box trained bunny named E.B.
Said new bunny home alone during the workdays, frolicking about our cozy 2-bedroom apartment..
Brand new, multi-function stereo with a huge remote with numerous rubber buttons...
Hungry, or just bored, bunny with sharp teeth decides to EAT every single button off remote....
Hungry, or just bored, bunny with sharp teeth decides to CHEW huge holes in rented apartment floor-length curtains...
BAD BUNNY!!! But, hey, he WAS litter box trained!!!!
'trying' to herd cats - the emphasis is definitely on trying. I have to herd cats twice a day...
ReplyDeleteOh dear Angie, I can imagine you are VERY bussy, with those two friends :) Hope they could be serious for only some minutes at a time - and hope the demonstration went well.

Been a bit busy & just read your post - So funny Angie! And with little ones myself, I can totally relate! Hey, I've been thinking about getting my kids into 4H. While they may not quite get the educational part willingly (see two silly kids working on trifolds - lol!); I think it does them a world of good. Going to have to look into that again for my kiddos! Great post - made me smile!
