I just had to share what a difference good lighting makes!
Let me first say that Rich really knows his stuff and I am eternally grateful for the hours of knowledge he shared electrifying my space!! He installed standard industrial florescent fixtures but the bulbs are Phillips Natural Light. It is like daylight in there 24/7, so different from the yellow cast of incandescent. Another plus side of these...they are good for 30,000 hours.
and how about all those happy outlets!!! I can get to work now. This is just one of 4 locations Rich installed for me. The small single outlet is a dedicated line for my toaster oven, so when I am baking up my polymer clay I won't see the lights dim every time it cycles... whoo-hoo.
There is still lots to do, like a new plywood slab for the workbench to replace the one that is warped. I've also eye-spied an fantastic workbench at harbor freight..trying to decide it it is worth the expense. Lastly, I need more shelves, thinking I can add some where there is pegboard but the details are sketchy.
Hopefully all this hard work will come out in an overflow of creativity!

OMG! Angie...! You have light and power!!!! I'm SO excited for you...
ReplyDeleteDoes Rich do plumbing too? The Rusty Monkey needs a bathroom!!!! (yeah, that's the hurdle at the moment) BUT, I'm not letting it get me down...lol
The main building has THREE bathrooms! What were the original builders thinking...? Maybe they didn't go potty 20 years ago???
YAY!! I'm SO happy for you!!!
Let there be light, then lots of creation! :-) It's a good feeling to know there's progress in your space, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteOH my-- so much electricity--I don`t understand anything about how it workd, but you must be in heaven to have all this in place-and to soon be finished with furnishings, and all the fun about adding the cosy stuff.
