Played a bit more and I wanted to show you what I made tonight...pine cone snowflakes! I'm going to use them as picks in some wreathes I need to redecorate, but they could be used as ornaments too.
I used tiny pine cones I collected while in Perry Park for a scrapbook weekend. I also used my hot glue gun, craft wire, white glue that dries clear and snowflake glitter.
I hot glued two pine cones bottoms together with the wire in between, then glued 6 pine cones around.
I applied the white glue to cover the hot glue, then with a toothpick I spread the glue on the pine cone tips. Then I sprinkled with glitter. That's it.
I did eventually get my counters cleared off from the past two days of playing. Tomorrow I have to focus on the last of my jewelry projects.

LOVE the pine cone snowflakes! Perhaps I should gather up some of the big cones around here and have you make a giant snowflake for me (just kidding).
ReplyDeleteI'm still wondering what happened to my "creative gene"?
Oh my, Angie, another sweet project! I have a bazillion of those little pinecones all over my deck from my cedar tree. I will have to try this. They'd be nice to adorn some C'mas presents/packages too. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose came out really pretty, if I can get it together, I'll feature them in my next round up post!
