Wonders never cease.

I finished a necklace today! I have to buckle down because I'm in an art show on Mothers Day and it would be best to actually have something to sell. I have been sketching and finishing components when time allows but I have failed to assemble anything in what feels like forever.
Today my sister asked to borrow the tables in my studio for a garage sale this weekend. After her husband came to pick them up I thought for sure I wouldn't want to step foot back in there for the mess I'd left behind.

Apparently I must like the chaos because I sat down in the 6 inches of space I had left on my counter top and put this together... weird huh?

  2. What a great necklace. I loveeeee the butterfly. What type of medium is it made from? Did you age the beading wire too? I've been itching to make some jewelry lately. Actually I have been making a few pieces lately just with something softer. hehe Thanks for the encouragement.

  3. Gerri, The butterfly is an image transfer on polymer clay. The wire is annealed steel, you can get this at most hardware stores. I like to run steel wool over the wire before I wrap it and you can catch a hint of shine underneath.

  4. Thanks for stopping by. Sounds like you are just as busy as me lately.

Our Spring is playing hide-and-seek with us, here, too. One day it's 30 and then it's 70. Sleeting and snowing one day. Crystal clear, blue skies another. Crazy!

Tell the kids "hi" from the "pink valentine lady". They are really cute kids! They grow up so fast!

I just loved the basement quote!!! I read your post just before tackling my daylight basement-soon-to-be-studio-space. Thanks for the inspiration, too, to GET RID OF STUFF!!!!
