In March, Cindy at Sweet Bead Studio offered to host a Button Swap/Blog Hop. I couldn't resist joining in considering the mounds of buttons I have collected and those I've made.
The handmade polymer clay buttons received from Billi were so wonderfully whimsical I really had to think of a fun way to show them off.
My mind kept coming back to a circus theme but I couldn't quite get focused on what I wanted to make. On Thursday kismet intervened when Debbie gave me a Cinch machine, perfect for binding journals or notebooks.
I spent the rest of the day stamping, glittering, and sewing away on this altered bingo card. Billi's buttons are now the highlight of this altered art sketchbook cover.

What a cute journal! I have made one using a car bingo card before (you now the ones that have pictures on them instead of numbers). those binding machines are great.

Oh I absolutely love it when I find that a button swap participant has made something other than jewelry - it's just so much fun to see all of the ways people have been using their swap buttons! The buttons are the perfect touch for your journal cover!! I had to smile as soon as I saw it - the placement of the sweet clown couldn't be better - it's as if she is looking up at the balls! And btw, I had never heard of a Cinch machine before!
