It was an unbelievable weekend here in Northern Kentucky, 70 degrees and sunny. The kids played soccer and baseball in the backyard with Bob, the windows were opened up wide (no need to turn the heat on.. that's good in it's own way) and an old friend called early Sunday morning. She and her family were on their way to event in Cincinnati and hoped to stop by afterwards. I already had a huge pot of spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove so we had dinner together at our house, it was so nice to catch up. I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend too.

Pretty Little Things
I was looking through an issue of Better Homes & Gardens from 2008 and was wowed by all the pretty packaging ideas. The little beaded leaves caught my eye and I wondered if I could make them. Some 24 gauge wire and silver lined seed beads and this is what I came up with. Oh the possibilities for these little guys...

These are beautiful! I want to do some of these with "initials" to put on packages...then they can keep them and use them on their tree!
Thanks for sharing!

Your beaded leaves turned out fabulously . . . of course! What a surprise treat to be able to visit with a while with your old friend on such a gorgeous fall day. Those are the best visits sometimes - the unexpected ones.
Those are so cute! I wonder if my slightly arthritic fingers could make those. I may have to try!
Totally cool leaves. Pretty pakaging is one of my favorite things!!!!!!
Great blog. Love the star tutorial. I've been seeing stars lately too.
Blessings, Gerri
