A Mermaid Came Across the Ocean

I am so excited that she is here, my little mermaid angel made by Dorthe's hands in Denmark.
She spoils me rotten, look at all the little extras she sent along. A darling little heart and tag. Thank you Dorthe, they are beautiful.
I have learned that with Dorthe everything is a gift...even the packaging...fantastic 1920's newspaper, bits of crochet and wired metal flowers...I want to reuse it all in my own artwork.
Wishing I had some of my own work to share but alas my part time gig is more like a full time gig these days.
Still dreaming of a day off to play,
Angie

The mermaid really is wonderful! Love the lace at her 'feet' - it reminds me of corals...

Wowsers! Angie. Those are very nice. Very feminine, even with the spider... I have to admit, I LOVE the heart most, but that's just how I roll...my "alter" ego, ya know! ctm

I am taking today off and FINALLY tackling another part of the house that desperately needs a mucking out - the greenhouse/atrium/summer kitchen room/building. It's the most embarrassing space with the most potential for all things fun! Gardening, canning, dinner under the stars, crafting, sleeping, playing...

My good-best friend (my Maid of Honor - so many years ago), Ginger, is daring enough to go in there with me for the day. What is she thinking?!!!

Well, we hired her husband as a design engineer at work, and so they moved here last June and are renting until they find the perfect house to buy. So, she needs a creative outlet (she says!)

I can't believe she's up for the task. That space is ... well, let's just say, it's been the drop-zone since we've moved in..."Oh? Just put it in the greenhouse!" you know what I mean?

If you don't see a blog post in the next week or so, SEND a search party for TWO missing girls trapped under STUFF!!! :-)

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hugs.
