This week has completely gotten away from me but I did finish a few pieces today for the Beadery. These fine art transfer beads will be my follow up from Halloween and the doggie is a custom order.
I'm having trouble filling my Etsy shop, I just can't seem to get motivated to finish my beads into pendants.
At the Bellevue Beadery I only offer the beads, not finished pieces. It has worked out so well since I rarely have the right supplies on hand.
I am tinkering with the idea of offering just the beads on Etsy as well, then have a separate listing to finish any bead into a pendant. It eliminates my own stumbling blocks and I won't waste supplies on pieces that don't sell. Still thinking this one through but if anyone has advice to offer I would love to know what you think.

I know what you mean about your Etsy shoppe, Angie. I started one, oh, maybe 2 years ago, and had the same struggles. I eventually emptied the store hoping to regroup and get myself geared up to fill'er up again. I thought maybe by starting my blog that would help get traffic in there. I can see with the Holidays coming, though, there's a pretty good chance I might not take the time to get it going again - we'll see. I think your idea of selling just the beads is a good idea. Good luck!
Thank you! I still have the details to work out, and that is where I get hung up, on the details.
I hope you find the time to get your shop back up and running. I think the holidays are probably the best time to have it opened with goods ready to sell.
Hi Angie,
I think selling just the beads is a good idea. Then you could offer seperate listings for a pendant version - cost determined by what material you use for the "chain". This much for a cord necklace and that much for a beaded one, etc.
